Terms of Use
The terms that apply when you download and use Nysa.
Agreement
By downloading or using Nysa, you agree to these Terms of Use and the applicable Apple App Store terms. Nysa is licensed, not sold. Unless a custom license is shown in the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to the app license. These terms supplement that agreement.
If you do not agree, do not use Nysa. Mandatory consumer rights in your country or region are not limited by these terms.
What Nysa Provides
Nysa is an independent iOS and iPadOS client for Bluesky and Mastodon. It lets you connect accounts you hold with those services. Nysa does not create or host a separate Nysa social account, and it does not control Bluesky, Mastodon, individual Mastodon instances, or content hosted by them.
Features can vary by device, social service, subscription, region, or service capability. Nysa may change, add, suspend, or remove features to improve the app, protect users, comply with law, or respond to changes in third-party services.
Your Accounts
You are responsible for your Bluesky or Mastodon account, the accuracy of information you provide, activity performed through your account, and the security of your device and credentials. You must follow the terms, rules, and community policies of each service and instance you use.
Do not share passwords, app passwords, access tokens, recovery codes, or deletion codes with Nysa Support. Nysa may restrict access to features it operates if use creates a security, safety, legal, or operational risk.
Your Content and Conduct
You keep the rights you have in content you create. When you use Nysa to submit content, Nysa sends it to your selected service at your direction. The service's terms determine the rights needed to host and distribute it.
You may not use Nysa to:
- Break applicable law or another person's rights.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or deliberately endanger others.
- Distribute malware, steal credentials, bypass access controls, or probe systems without permission.
- Spam, manipulate engagement, or automate abusive activity.
- Interfere with Nysa, its relay, Apple services, Bluesky, or a Mastodon instance.
To report a post or account, use Nysa’s Report, Block, or Mute actions. Bluesky or your Mastodon instance reviews reports and decides whether to remove content.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Paid Nysa plans can unlock additional features. The purchase screen shows the current plan, benefits, duration, localized price, and renewal terms before you confirm. Apple processes payment through your Apple Account.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions continue until canceled through Apple.
- You can restore eligible purchases in Nysa.
- Canceling stops a future renewal and normally leaves access active through the paid period.
- Removing or deleting a social account does not cancel your Nysa subscription.
- Refund eligibility and processing are handled by Apple and can vary by country or region.
You can manage subscriptions with Apple or request a refund from Apple.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how Nysa processes data. The policies of Apple, Bluesky, and your selected Mastodon instance also apply to their services.
Availability and Third-Party Services
Nysa depends on Apple, network connectivity, Bluesky, Mastodon instances, and other infrastructure. Nysa cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, that every third-party feature will remain compatible, or that content supplied by another service is accurate or available.
Nysa is not responsible for third-party content, policies, outages, account actions, or moderation decisions. Use of those services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
Nysa's Rights
Nysa, including its app design, code, branding, and original materials, is protected by intellectual property law. Except for the license granted through the App Store, these terms do not transfer ownership or permit you to copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or misuse Nysa except where law expressly allows it.
Disclaimers and Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nysa is provided "as is" and "as available." The Apple Standard EULA contains additional warranty and liability terms. Nothing here excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
Ending Use
You may stop using Nysa at any time. You can remove accounts from the app and initiate deletion of an underlying account from Edit Profile where the service supports it. Cancel any Apple subscription separately if you do not want it to renew.
Nysa may suspend or end access to Nysa-operated features when necessary to address a violation, protect the service or others, comply with law, or discontinue a feature. Provisions that by their nature should survive will continue after use ends.
Changes to These Terms
Nysa may update these terms as the app, business model, or legal obligations change. The date at the top will be updated when revised terms are published. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply where permitted by law.
