Privacy Policy
The data Nysa uses, where it goes, and the choices you have.
Essentials
- Nysa connects directly to Bluesky or your chosen Mastodon instance.
- Account credentials stay in the iOS Keychain on your device.
- Posts, messages, profiles, media, drafts, and preferences may be stored locally.
- Nysa does not sell your data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
What Nysa Processes
App Activity
Nysa uses your account identifiers and credentials to make the requests you choose. Social content and app preferences may be cached on your device. Access credentials are not intentionally stored on Nysa's relay.
Notifications
If enabled, Nysa's relay and Apple process your device token, account and service details, and notification content to deliver push notifications.
Purchases
Apple handles payments and subscriptions. Nysa receives only the product and entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features.
Support
The support form collects your topic, service, email address, and message. Netlify processes submissions and may record basic request data such as your IP address, browser, and submission time.
Who Receives Data
Data goes only where needed: your selected social service, Apple, providers that operate Nysa's notification relay, and Netlify for this website and support form. Nysa may also disclose data when legally required or needed to protect users and the service.
Storage and Deletion
On-device data remains until you remove the account, clear it in the app, or remove Nysa. Push registrations are removed after a successful sign-out or account removal, though this may be delayed while offline. Support and operational records are kept only as needed to run the service, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Bluesky or your Mastodon instance controls deletion of the social account and its content. Removing an account from Nysa does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Your Choices
- Disable notifications in Nysa or iOS Settings.
- Remove an account from Nysa or delete it through the social service.
- Ask Nysa to access, correct, or delete data it controls.
Choose Privacy or Data Request on the Support page.
Security and Updates
Nysa uses the iOS Keychain, app-scoped storage, and HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure. Nysa is not designed specifically for children; the selected social service sets its own age rules. Policy changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
